Maryville Christmas Lights is a family-run, fully insured holiday lighting company. We do one thing and do it well: lease, design, install, service and store exterior lighting so our neighbors never have to climb a ladder in December.
Every display starts with an on-site consultation. We measure your rooflines, talk through color and style, and produce a mock-up so you know exactly what you're getting. Then we cut every strand to fit your home, install it with non-penetrating clips, and keep it running all season.
Because we lease the lights, you never buy hardware, store bins in your attic, or replace a bad strand. If a bulb goes out or weather knocks a section loose, we come out and fix it free of charge. That's the lease difference.
Beyond Christmas, we install permanent app-controlled LED systems and low-voltage landscape lighting — the same craftsmanship, working for you the other eleven months of the year.

Why we lease instead of sell
When a homeowner buys a light package, the company that installed it has no reason to come back. Bulbs burn out, a strand fails in a wet December, and the customer is left calling around or climbing a ladder. We built the business the other way around: the lights stay ours, so keeping them lit stays our job.
That single decision drives everything else. We buy commercial-grade LED bulbs and heavier wire than a retail kit uses, because we will be reinstalling the same product for years. We cut and label strands per address, so year two goes up faster and cleaner than year one. And we answer the phone in December, because a dark section on your roof is our warranty claim, not your inconvenience.
It is also simpler to budget. One fixed seasonal number covers design, product, installation, service, takedown and storage. No line item shows up later for a replacement strand or a repair visit.
How we work a property
The first visit is a walk-through. We measure rooflines, note power locations, look at where the display will be seen from, and talk through color temperature, bulb spacing and whether you want warm white, classic multicolor or a mixed scheme. Steep or two-story sections get flagged for the right equipment before quote day.
Installation uses non-penetrating clips sized to your gutter, shingle or trim profile. Nothing gets stapled or nailed. Timers are set on site so lights come on at dusk and shut off overnight. Cords are routed to stay out of walkways and off gutter faces where they would be visible from the street.
In January we remove everything, inspect each strand, repair what needs repairing at our shop, and store your labeled set until the next season. Your attic stays empty.
Insurance, safety and the ladder question
Ladder falls spike every December, and most of them happen on residential roofs between ten and twenty feet. Blount County adds wet leaves, frost on shingles and short daylight to the equation. Our crews are trained for steep-slope work, carry proper fall protection, and are covered by liability and workers compensation insurance.
That coverage matters if something goes wrong on your property. Ask any lighting company for a certificate of insurance before they set a ladder against your house. We will send ours without being asked twice.
